Ministering on the Spirit Lake Nation Indian Reservation
In May, I was at the Lighthouse Assembly of God on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation in Fort Totten, ND. This was my first visit to this church. Susan and I are also on KABU Radio Station in Ft. Totten on Sunday afternoons. In three meetings, I spoke on reconciliation and forgiveness, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and divine healing. Lives were touched, bodies were healed, and people were encouraged in the Lord. Pastor Brandon and Joy Wegener, who I met several years ago while ministering on the White Earth Indian Reservation in Minnesota, … Continue reading

Mining for Gold in the Nation of India
By Tom Shanklin “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.” Joel 3:14, KJV. To see India is to see the multitudes, over 1.2 billion of them. The women in bright colorful saris. The men in traditional white garbs or western style clothes, many with red spots on the their foreheads as symbols of Hindu devotion. There are others with white turbans wrapped about their heads. Then there’s the Muslim women, some with head coverings totally hiding their faces. Watch video from the … Continue reading
Mission India 2013: Touching 3 Nations and 5 States!
Our meetings in India in March were organized by Calvary Commission India, the same organization we have worked with on my previous four trips to India. In 2011, Dr. Ileeni Benjamin, the head of that ministry went to be with the Lord. Now his wife is carrying on the ministry with the help of her family members. Here is her comments on our meetings. Dear Rev.Tom Shanklin! How have you been? Hope you have reached home safely! Give our regards and appreciation to Sis. Susan, the board members of Tom Shanklin Ministries, prayer partners and … Continue reading
Please Pray for Our Mission to India March 2013
By Tom Shanklin It has been great to see how our God has been bringing together the plans for our mission to India. We will be ministering in two different locations in Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal, holding evangelistic meetings and pastors. Both areas are nearly unreached with the Gospel. India has more unreached people groups than any other nation in the world. With your help, we are going into the regions beyond with the Gospel. We need your prayers for these outreaches that God will have His way, many will come to the Lord, … Continue reading
Local Church in a Small Wisconsin Town is Touching the World
Often, we look to a huge mega-church in one of the metropolitan areas to find the “formula” for growth and success. But God is not limited to such places. In fact, there are great treasures of truth to be found in other places—remote, obscure, rural places—where the great God of the universe is just as apt to do “great and mighty things.” One of the lies that Satan tells pastors is that they cannot accomplish great things in a small area, but that they must move on to some large metropolitan area to fulfill their ministry. … Continue reading
Wooden Cars from Cruise-Aiders Cars4Kids on the Way to Liberia
By Tom Shanklin While traveling through northwest Minnesota I stopped at Ken Pederson’s home near Hawley, Minnesota. Ken is director of Cruise-Aiders Cars4Kids, a ministry which is making small wooden cars and distributing them to children around the world in order to show them the love of Christ. About four years ago, Ken, who is a Carpenter/Cabinet Maker by trade, started making small wooden cars in his wood shop. Ken started giving the cars to the Salvation Army and Churches United in Moorhead, Minnesota. There was a good response as the groups gave the cars … Continue reading
An Awesome Time of Ministry on the Rosebud Indian Reservation
By Tom Shanklin I had an awesome time of ministry at The Carpenter Shop in Antelope, South Dakota on May 11-13 with Pastor Bob Stead. The Carpenter Shop is a local church on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in south central South Dakota. I have visited the reservation a number of times. Although the attendance was very small for the Friday night service, there was no lack of power. I had planned to preach an evangelistic/healing message, but the Lord changed directions on me once I got into the service. “Don’t be locked into your agenda,” … Continue reading
Population of India
(Information courtesy Soul Winners India) India, with 1,210,193,422 (1.21 billion) people is the second most populous country in the world, while China is on the top with over 1,350,044,605 (1.35 billion) people. The figures show that India represents almost 17.31% of the world’s population, which means one out of six people on this planet live in India. Although, the crown of the world’s most populous country is on China’s head for decades, India is all set to take the numero uno position by 2030. With the population growth rate at 1.58%, India is predicted to … Continue reading
Ministering on the Rosebud Indian Reservation
We had a wonderful and fruitful time of ministry last weekend, April 8-10 at the Carpenters Shop Church in Mission, SD, on the Rosebud Indian Reservation. Pastor Gerald Burns of Waukesha, Wisconsin and Dennis Dulske of Wapauca, Wisconsin traveled with me and helped with the time of ministry. Four people registered first-time decisions for Christ at the Sunday morning meeting. Many others were touched and encouraged and challenged in their walk with God. In the three meetings, we spoke on: God’s Plan for the Nations God’s Plan for the Family God’s Plan for the Church … Continue reading
